I had an epiphany today. I need design work. There is no thrill like a great design; solving a problem and something working out, sometimes unexpectedly. Recently someone asked me why I wanted to be a designer when I could be anything else. I have thought about it too because I believe I could be almost anything I want to be academically, except a doctor, i dont have the stomach for that. But I'm learning that being a designer is like a challenge that involves every subject I've loved in school. It like trying to find a solution to a math (math) problem, going through the steps. But you need research and history (social studies). You have to know how things work (science) and how to communicate your ideas through images (art) and text (english). You have to use all of them successfully to solve the problem.
